Whether professional or amateur photographers, we all know cameras have been a crucial tool to communicate the existent and present state of our planet. In this spirit, Action Speaks Louder held a photography contest called Cameras Don't Lie photo competition 2023 to pressure Canon to end support for its Think Tank's climate denial stance.

Photographers see how the climate crisis impacts the environment around them and how local communities deal with it through their camera lens and prove that cameras don’t lie about what is truly happening to the world. They want the world – and Canon – to see it.

The contest received beyond 100 entries from over 30 countries urging Canon to end support for climate change denial. The winning image was displayed on a Times Square Billboard, ahead of Canon’s annual shareholder meeting to pressure Canon to respond.
